Steve Gray – in-house investigator

Steve Gray has over 30 years of investigation experience and he has completed over seven hundred hours of special and technical training related to traffic accident investigation and reconstruction. His training ranges from basic accident investigation to comprehensive detailing of complex incidents including deaths or serious injuries. He has completed training courses taught by the United States Department of Transportation in Washington D.C.; Northwestern University; Texas A & M University; Arvin-Calspan in Buffalo, New York; as well as with other agencies.

Prior to 1991, Steve was an investigator for the federal automotive safety program National Accident Sampling System (NASS). NASS is part of the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA), a division of the United States Department of Transportation in Washington D.C. During his eleven year tenure with NHTSA, Steve had the opportunity to investigate over 1,000 traffic accidents.

Steve used this knowledge and experience that he gained at NHTSA to begin his career as an investigator in the legal field. In 1991 he became an investigator for a products liability law firm in Birmingham, AL. During his time as an investigator in the legal field he has inspected numerous cases involving automobile, truck, aircraft and boat accidents. He has investigated specific vehicle safety issues related to airbags, seatbelts, tires, door latches, brakes, fuel tanks, roof structures and other vehicle components. He has also investigated accidents involving collisions highway safety structures and accidents caused by road paving defects.
